Real sky. Real you.

You’ve probably felt it — that quiet disconnect when your horoscope describes someone who doesn’t quite sound like you. You’ve read the keywords, done the research, tried to relate. And still something feels off.

Here’s what no one told you: the sky moved.

Over the past 2,000 years, a slow wobble in Earth’s axis — called the precession of the equinoxes — has shifted the constellations roughly 24 degrees from where traditional astrology placed them. Most astrology never updated. Nuastro did.

What Is Nuastro?

Nuastro is an astronomically accurate astrology platform — built on the real sky as it exists today, not a 2,000-year-old snapshot of it.

We use:

  • True sidereal positions — where the planets actually were, not where a seasonal calendar says they were
  • IAU constellation boundaries — the same boundaries used by modern astronomy, not arbitrary 30° slices
  • 13 signs — including Ophiuchus, because the Sun physically passes through it every year, and ignoring that is just not honest
  • Data cross-referenced with NASA’s astronomical ephemeris for verified celestial accuracy

Who’s Behind It

I’ve been fascinated by astrology since I was young — not as a belief system to follow blindly, but as a language for understanding people. And the more I learned, the harder it became to ignore an obvious problem: the sky that traditional astrology describes simply doesn’t match the sky above us.

Hi — I’m Elene Beridze, the founder of Nuastro.

That wasn’t a spiritual crisis. It was a logical one. If the foundation is astronomically inaccurate, what are we actually reading?

I built Nuastro to answer that question properly — combining my background in brand, content, and platform building with a genuine obsession with getting the astronomy right. Every chart on this platform reflects the actual sky at the actual moment you were born.

This isn’t a rebrand of astrology. It’s a return to what it always should have been.

Our Mission

Astrology and astronomy were once the same discipline. The same people who charted the heavens for navigation also read them for meaning. Somewhere along the way, the two drifted apart — and astrology stopped updating.

Nuastro exists to close that gap.

We believe self-knowledge shouldn’t require you to suspend what you know is true about the physical world. We believe a system built on the wrong map will always produce the wrong directions. And we believe that an entire generation is quietly walking away from astrology not because they don’t find it meaningful — but because it keeps describing someone else.

Our mission is to give astrology back its accuracy — and in doing so, give you back a tool that actually fits.

We are not anti-tradition. We are pro-truth. Tropical astrology has its place as a seasonal, symbolic framework. Vedic astrology carries centuries of depth. But if you want to know where the planets physically were when you took your first breath — that’s Nuastro.

The stars didn’t wait for astrology to catch up. We did.

Who Nuastro Is For

Nuastro is for you if:

  • You’ve always felt slightly misrepresented by your sun sign
  • You love astrology but can’t ignore how scientifically shaky the traditional system is
  • You’re new to astrology and want to start with something that actually reflects the sky
  • You’re a skeptic willing to give this a second look — on the condition that it’s grounded in real data

Astrology was always meant to be a map of the actual heavens.

Welcome to the one that is.

Why did my zodiac sign change?

Most people find their sign moves back by about 24 degrees (roughly one full sign) when using Nuastro. This is due to the precession of the equinoxes, a 2,000-year “wobble” of the Earth’s axis that has shifted the alignment of the constellations relative to our calendar. Nuastro corrects this shift to match the observable sky.

Is Nuastro the same as Vedic (sidereal) astrology?

Not exactly. While both use a sidereal (star-based) system, most Vedic systems still use “even” 30-degree blocks for each sign. Nuastro uses astronomical astrology, which accounts for the actual, uneven constellation boundaries as defined by modern astronomy. It is the most accurate astrology system for those who want their chart to match the physical sky.

What is the 13th sign, and why do you call it Serpentius, not Ophiuchus?

In real sky astrology, we cannot ignore the physical reality of the heavens. The Sun passes through a 13th constellation every year between November 30th and December 18th. While others may call it Ophiuchus, at Nuastro, we refer to this powerful alignment as Serpentius. While traditional systems ignore it to keep a “neat” 12-sign wheel, we embrace Serpentius to maintain celestial accuracy. If the Sun was physically in this constellation when you were born, our system reflects that truth.

Why is astrology inaccurate according to many scientists?

The primary scientific critique is that “signs” no longer align with the “stars.” By using real sky alignment, Nuastro answers this critique directly. We use the same real-time planetary positions and data used by NASA, ensuring your chart is a mathematically sound map of the actual heavens.

Does this mean my old “Tropical” chart was wrong?

Tropical astrology is a seasonal symbolic system; it functions like a “sky calendar” based on the equinoxes. However, if you are looking for an accurate astrology based on the actual electromagnetic and gravitational backdrop of the stars, Nuastro provides the physical reality of the visible sky.

How do I find my real sky alignment?

You can use our astronomical zodiac calculator. Simply enter your birth date, time, and location, and our algorithm will calculate the precession shift and place your planets in their true stellar positions.
