About Nuastro

Astronomically accurate astrology.

Nuastro is an astrology platform built around the real sky. We calculate where the planets were among the thirteen constellations, then turn those positions into a clear, personal reading of your chart.

Our mission

Accuracy first. Interpretation second.

We believe precision is a form of respect. Most astrology divides the zodiac into twelve equal signs. Nuastro calculates the real positions and sizes of the constellations before interpreting what they may mean for a person.

Astronomy tells us where everything was. Astrology helps us explore what those placements may mean. We keep the two clear and separate.

01

Calculate first. Interpret second.

Every reading begins with the astronomy. We calculate the actual planetary positions instead of rounding them to the nearest sign.

02

Thirteen constellations, because the Sun crosses thirteen.

The Sun passes through Ophiuchus every year. Nuastro includes it because it is part of the Sun’s real path through the sky.

03

No claims about fate.

A birth chart is an accurate map of the sky at one moment. The meaning of that map is an interpretation, not a fixed prediction. We make that distinction clear in every reading.

Our story

Built in one year around a two-thousand-year-old problem.

Astrology and astronomy were once closely connected. The same people who mapped the sky for calendars and navigation also interpreted it for meaning. Over time, the two fields separated, and much of astrology continued using an older map of the zodiac.

Nuastro was founded to reconnect astrological interpretation with the sky as it appears today.

  1. Winter 2026

    The question

A lifelong interest in astrology led to a simple question: why does the calendar zodiac no longer match the constellations above us? If the map has changed, what does that mean for a birth-chart reading?

  2. Spring 2026

    The calculation engine

Nuastro was built using VSOP87 planetary theory, JPL orbital data, International Astronomical Union constellation boundaries, and house calculations tested across 7,200 longitudes. The system uses thirteen constellations, each shown at its real size.

  3. Spring 2026

    The Nuastro style

The visual and editorial system was created around a simple idea: technical accuracy should still feel beautiful and easy to understand. Charts are designed like precise instruments, while readings are written in clear, personal language.

  4. Summer 2026

    Four tools

The Birth Chart, Love Chart, Horoscope, and Moon Calendar launched on Nuastro.com, followed by memberships, member profiles, and the Forum.

  5. September 2026

    New readings

Every house interpretation was rewritten from the beginning. The result is 845 passages across thirteen houses and five reading styles, allowing the language of each reading to better reflect the chart it describes.

What we stand for

Four principles behind everything we make.

Precision

Planetary positions are calculated to the arcminute, time is corrected to the second, and birthplaces are resolved to metres. If Nuastro shows a position, it has been calculated.

Warmth

Every reading is built around an individual chart. It is not a generic description based only on one zodiac sign.

Honesty

We respect traditional astrology. The tropical zodiac is a symbolic calendar based on the seasons. Nuastro offers something different: a chart based on the physical constellations in the sky.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Why did my zodiac sign change?

Many people find that their Sun appears almost one full sign earlier in the real sky. This happens because Earth’s axis slowly changes direction over time. After more than two thousand years, the constellations are now almost thirty degrees away from the equal calendar signs used in tropical astrology. Nuastro reads their current positions.

Is this the same as Vedic or sidereal astrology?

Not exactly. Vedic and sidereal systems are connected with the stars, but most still divide the zodiac into twelve equal signs. Nuastro uses the official constellation boundaries, which are not equal in size. Virgo covers about forty-four degrees of the zodiac, while Scorpio covers fewer than seven.

Was my tropical birth chart wrong?

No. It measures a different system. The tropical zodiac is a seasonal calendar anchored to the equinoxes. Nuastro maps the physical constellations where the planets actually appeared. Both systems can be viewed on your Nuastro chart.

How can I find my real-sky placements?

Enter your birth date, exact birth time, and birthplace in the Birth Chart. Nuastro resolves the location and time zone, calculates the planetary positions, and draws your chart in about one second.
