Privacy Policy (App)

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This policy is for the Nuastro app on iPhone. It says what the app collects and why. It says who we share it with and how long we keep it. It also says what you can ask us to do. The Nuastro website has its own privacy policy, on nuastro.com.

Nuastro is run by Elene Beridze, in Tbilisi, Georgia. In this policy, we and us mean Nuastro. We are in charge of your information. For anything about it, write to us. Our details are in section 17.

It sits beside the app’s Terms and Conditions and Refund Policy.

1. The short version

  • We collect your account details, your birth details, and what you write in the Forum.
  • Your birth details are the heart of Nuastro. We use them to draw your charts.
  • We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising.
  • The app has no advertising and no tracking. It does not follow you across other apps or websites.
  • Your cycle tracking stays on your phone. It never reaches us.
  • Apple takes every payment in the app. We never see your card.
  • You can delete your account in the app, at any time.

2. What you give us

Account. A username, an email address and a password. We store the password only in a scrambled form that cannot be turned back. Nobody at Nuastro can read it.

Sign in with Apple. If you use it, Apple gives us an Apple account number and an email address. You can choose to hide your real email. Then Apple gives us a private address that forwards to you. We also keep a sign-in key from Apple. We use it to end the link with Apple when you delete your account. We do not store your name from Apple.

Birth details. Your date, time and place of birth, the place’s coordinates and its time zone. If you do not know your birth time, we note that too. It changes your chart.

Your birthplace search. When you type your birthplace, the app sends the letters to our own server. It finds the matching places. No mapping company receives them.

People you save. For each person you save, we store the name and the birth details you enter. We also store the charts the app draws for them, and for the two of you. Section 5 is about these people.

Your agreement. When you open an account, we record the date and time. We also record which version of these documents you agreed to, and the sentence you ticked.

The Forum. Your discussions, replies and likes. Your reports and the members you block. See section 6.

Your profile. Your avatar, theme and achievements. Your Links, which are members you connect with. Which parts of your profile are public.

Settings. Which emails you want, and your choices for tutorial tips.

Questions for a reading. If you write questions for a reading you bought, we store them with that reading.

Messages to us. Whatever you write when you contact us.

3. What is collected as you use the app

  • The days you open the app. We count them for your streak and your achievements.
  • Read marks. When you last read your notifications, and which tutorial tips you have read.
  • Your sign-in. A record of each phone you sign in on, so you stay signed in. It holds a coded sign-in key, its dates, and the word iPhone. You can be signed in on up to 10 phones.
  • Purchases. Apple tells us what you bought, a purchase number, and when a plan ends or renews. Apple also tells us about refunds.
  • Server records. Our host keeps standard server records for security, which include internet addresses. These are kept for a few weeks.

Apart from your streak, the app measures nothing about how you use it. It has no crash reports and no ads.

4. What stays on your phone only

Some things the app keeps on your phone and never sends to us:

  • Cycle tracking. The days you mark and the app’s estimates.
  • Your night record. How you said your day went.
  • Ask the Moon. The answer the Moon gave you that night. You never type a question.
  • Morning notes. The app writes these on your phone. We send no push messages and keep no device token.
  • Copies for offline use. Readings you opened, today’s sky, your choices and your cart.

Your sign-in key is kept in your phone’s secure keychain.

Signing out removes your readings, your account’s copy and the keychain key from the phone. It keeps your cycle tracking, your night record, the Moon’s answer, your choices and your cart. Deleting the app removes all of them.

5. People you save who are not you

When you save another person, you give us their details. That person has not agreed to anything with us. We take this seriously.

  • Their details are visible only to you. We never show them to other members or publish them.
  • We never contact them, advertise to them or open an account for them.
  • You can remove a saved person at any time. When you remove someone, their birth details are deleted. Their name and the date stay in your history of changes, which your plan’s limits use.
  • Please only save people whose birth details you have a fair reason to hold.

Did someone save your details, and you want them removed? Write to us, and we will act.

6. The Forum, and what other members see

  • Your discussions and replies are seen by other members. On our website, people who are not signed in can read Forum discussions too.
  • Other members see your username and picture next to your posts. They also see your element and theme.
  • On your profile, other members see when you joined, your streak and your achievements. Some achievements show which plan you have had or what you bought.
  • Some parts of your profile have a lock. These are your Links, your year, your Saturn dates and your generation. They stay private until you open the lock.
  • Your birth details and your charts are never shown to other members. Your element and some achievements do come from your chart.
  • When you report a post, the writer is not told. When you block a member, they are not told.

7. Who we share information with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with these providers, each for one purpose:

  • Apple (Apple Inc., United States). Apple takes every payment in the app and runs Sign in with Apple. Its own privacy policy covers its part.
  • WordPress.com (Automattic Inc., United States). It runs our server and stores our data. It also sends our emails.
  • Expo (650 Industries, Inc., United States). Expo sends updates to the app. When the app looks for one, Expo sees your internet address. It also sees the app’s version and a random number for your copy of the app.
  • Google (Google LLC, United States). Some letters can be sent through Google’s Gmail service.
  • Gumroad (Gumroad, Inc., United States). Gumroad takes payments on our website only. For a purchase there, the website’s privacy policy applies.

We do not use AI services to write your readings. Readings are put together on our server from text we wrote, and your chart.

We also share information when the law requires it. We share it to keep people or Nuastro safe. If Nuastro is ever sold or merged, member information could move with it. We would tell you before that happens.

8. Emails

We confirm your address and help you reset your password. We also write about your plan and your readings. We also send letters about the sky and your account. You choose which ones in Settings.

Our letters can tell us when you open them and which links you press. We use this only to see which letters help. It is linked to your account, and we do not share it.

9. Why we use your information

Do you live in the UK or the European Economic Area? Then the law asks us to give a reason for each use.

  • To run your account and give you what you asked for. Your account, your charts, your readings, your purchases and your plan. Reason: our contract with you.
  • To send service emails. Confirming your address, resetting a password, and changes to your account. Reason: our contract with you.
  • To keep Nuastro safe. Stopping fraud, abuse and spam, keeping server records, and moderating the Forum. Reason: our fair interest in a safe service.
  • To show which letters help. Opens and presses in our letters. Reason: our fair interest in useful letters. You can turn letters off in Settings.
  • To meet the law. Keeping records of purchases for tax. Reason: a legal duty.

No computer makes serious decisions about you on its own. We do not build a profile of you for ads.

10. How long we keep things

  • Your account and everything in it: until you delete your account.
  • What you post: until you delete it or close your account. Then section 11 applies.
  • Sign-in keys: each one lasts up to 60 days. A new one replaces it each time it is used.
  • Email confirmation links: two days.
  • Server records: a few weeks, on our host’s schedule.
  • Purchase records: Apple keeps them, as the law requires.

11. Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app, in Settings. It happens at once and cannot be undone, so the app asks you to confirm.

We delete: your account, username and email address. Your birth details and every chart. Your readings. Your saved people. Your settings, your profile, your Links and your sign-ins. We also end the link with Apple if you used Sign in with Apple.

What stays, with your name removed:

  • Your Forum discussions and replies stay, so other people’s conversations still make sense. They then show as written by a former member. Write to us if you want them deleted too.
  • Your likes and reports stay counted. They point to an account number that no longer leads to anyone.
  • One line that says an account was closed, with its dates and plan. It holds no name, email or birth details.
  • Scrambled codes of your email address, your connection and your birth details. They stop the free 24 hours being claimed twice. They cannot be turned back into any of them.
  • A purchase number and the old account number, in our list of messages from Apple. Newer messages soon replace them.

Apple keeps its own records of your purchases. You manage those with Apple.

12. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of your information.
  • Correct anything that is wrong. Your birth details are corrected by writing to us.
  • Delete your information, as in section 11.
  • Give you your information in a file you can take elsewhere.
  • Stop or limit a use of your information.

In the app, Settings has Export my data. It shares your profile and your saved people through your phone’s share menu. For a full copy of everything, write to elene@nuastro.com. We answer within 30 days, and it is free. We may first check that the email address on the account is yours.

If you think we handled your information badly, please tell us first. We want to fix it. You can also complain to the authority that protects data where you live. In Georgia, it is the Personal Data Protection Service.

13. Security

  • Everything between the app and our server is encrypted.
  • Passwords and sign-in keys are stored only in scrambled form.
  • On your phone, your sign-in key sits in the secure keychain.

No system is perfectly safe. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you. We will also tell the authorities, as the law requires.

14. Age

You must be 16 or older to use Nuastro. The app does not accept a birth date that shows you are younger. Did a child under 16 give us information? Write to us and we will remove it.

15. Where your information goes

Nuastro is run from Georgia. Our providers in section 7 are in the United States. So if you live in the UK or the European Economic Area, your information leaves it. Each transfer is protected in an approved way. One way is the standard contract terms of the European Commission. The other is an approved certificate the provider holds. Write to us to learn which one a provider uses.

16. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we change the date at the top. Some changes affect your rights or what we do with your information. We tell you about those first, by email or in the app.

17. Contact
